NEWS - OFSTED INSPECTION OCTOBER 2013

I am delighted to share with you the news that in our recent Ofsted Inspection all four categories on which schools are assessed were judged to be 'Good'.

Of particular note, Ofsted highlighted:

  • students' attitudes to learning are consistently positive
  • students behave well in lessons and apply themselves diligently to their work
  • all groups of students are making good progress across a range of subjects and key stages
  • the sixth form is good
  • there are many examples of outstanding teaching
  • the school's drive to improve the performance of higher ability students is now successful
  • sixth form students lead by example and are excellent role models to younger students

Whilst we are clearly pleased with this outcome, our pursuit of excellence in all we do continues.  Through the dedication and hard work of staff, students and the governing body we will move the school even further forward.
