This could be about: New subjects, your expections, the school day.

In an acrostic poem, the first letter of each line spells a word. The word is the subject of the poem. The following link will explain and show you what an acrostic poem looks like:

Transition Challenge 5

Try to complete this Drama challenge.

Write the opening dialogue (around 30 secs) to a stage play around a Zookeeper describing the different types of animals they keep.

Ideas:

Perhaps the Zookeeper could be showing the audience his favourite animals. Or maybe even pointing out the naughty animals and telling us about the tricks they get up to!

Things to include:

  • Introduce yourself and the animals
  • Use descriptive language to describe the animals.
  • Stage directions, so that you know when to move and what you are doing.

Send your finished work to school to the competition email address: competition@archwayschool.net

There may even be an opportunity to perform your work in your Drama lessons in September.
