We foster a dynamic learning culture of mutual respect and support where every individual feels valued, has ambition and a sense of pride and belonging.
We are proud to declare ourselves a relational practice school. We believe that this approach helps to create an environment where, as they progress to adulthood, every student feels that they can be their best in a positive, respectful and supportive school environment.
We value the individual and our comprehensive status means that we embrace inclusive approaches. We have a large team of staff who focus on the wellbeing of our students; it is vital that young people feel safe and ready to learn.
We believe that strong, trusting relationships between students, teachers and the wider school community are the foundation to an effective education. Our broad and balanced curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide all students with equitable opportunities. We enrich the learning experience by creating a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities including clubs, sporting activities and a variety of trips and educational visits.
Our sixth form students are true leaders and ambassadors for the school and we are extremely proud of the well-trodden paths to success that these students have taken. Having an educational provision beyond age 16 means that students can join us for a 7-year journey and take advantage of the teachers' advanced subject knowledge.
Our staff are committed to helping students Aspire, Achieve and Enjoy and we are very optimistic that they can all go on to become happy, fulfilled and productive members of society.
