Creative Writing Success!

This year we have had many successes again within Creative Writing club.

With many new competitions to test our skills and broaden our imagination, the opportunities continue to pour in! However, one student who has had a particularly successful year is Claire (Year 12). Claire has attended the club for over two years now and has been published in many Young Writers collections. But her most recent reason to celebrate is through working with the Cheltenham Literature Festival. She was selected as one of six students in Gloucestershire to be given the chance to be mentored by published authors, then leading onto a special showcase of their work at the Festival next year! Alongside this, Claire has also won another Young Writers Poetry competition – choosing her prize from a selection of modern must-have reads!

Archway School has also been recognised as a Young Writers 5 star school for providing opportunities for the students to express their imaginations. It also is our reward for having so many of our students published in their collections.

However, the writing does not stop there! With the new SAGA competition of Catastrophes to consider…how will the next year turn out for our budding authors?!
