Archway School in Stroud is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community who would like to join the governing board.
Archway School is the only co-ed, maintained school in Stroud with students aged from 11 to 18 years. The school is looking for those who have an interest in secondary education and who have any of the following skills and experience
- being a board member in another sector or a governor/trustee in another school

The governing board is made up from several groups of people: staff, local authority appointed governors, co-opted governors who represent the community, and parents. Governors have a vital role to play in making sure every child receives the best possible education.
All new governors go through a comprehensive induction plan and attend new governor training organised by the local authority. Governors will be expected to serve a four-year term of office.
