Sixth Form News

Planning for the Future

The Sixth Form has been a busy place recently despite finishing exams.

We've spent the day at the University of Gloucestershire finding out about courses and sitting in live lectures, a replica courtroom and an emergency situation including fire and rescue services. We have attended the UCAS Exhibition at the NEC where around 80 universities from all over the UK were represented alongside a range of apprenticships and general advice about applying for courses. This has been followed up by a Personal Statement writing session led by the Outreach team from Gloucestershire University highlighting the importance of a strong, relevant statement when applying not only to University but to apprenticeships and jobs too.

All in all, our current students have been left with lots to think about and to prepare for over the next few months, we wish them well and support them fully in their next steps.
