Student Superdry Experience
On Friday 15th November Year 12 and 13 Business and Textiles students visited Superdry’s headquarters in Cheltenham.
Throughout the day we toured around the headquarters visiting departments such as design and photography to IT and HR. We learnt how each section operates together and the importance of business aims and values. The part we found the most interesting was the photography department because they had to react daily to incorporate the latest designs and liaise closely with the press team. It gave us an insight into how important modelling and photography are to get the right message across to a wide range of potential customers.
During the afternoon we were split into groups to carry out various activities, one of which was to find outfits that would appeal to different types of customers using Superdry products. The winning team along with the entire group were given a Superdry rucksack as a memento of the day.
Overall, we had a lot of fun on this trip and would like to thank Superdry for providing the experience because it helped us realise how many different career opportunities there are within such a large business. A number of us have also applied to complete work experience at Superdry in February – we are keeping our fingers crossed!
