The first leg of the French Exchange was a great success!
At the end of April, Year 10, 9, and 8 students welcomed their French partners into their homes, school and lives. The French students enjoyed a week of British history, culture and tradition. They visited and studied aspects of Stroud’s history, travelled to Bristol where they discovered Banksy’s work and spent a day in London sight-seeing – including the “Changing of the Guard.”
The students sampled British delicacies such “jelly”, “roast beef”, “Yorkshire pudding” and “fish ‘n’ chips” and of course improved their English language skills.
We said “au revoir” at the end of the week having made some great and hopefully long lasting friendships by students and staff alike. We are all looking forward to our return visit.
