I am delighted to welcome you to Archway School, a comprehensive school set in the beautiful Stroud Valleys where students of all abilities learn to live and work together as they will in their adult lives. We have 930 students aged 11-18 with the Sixth Form comprising 155 students where it is possible to study for A Level and BTEC qualifications.
Our Vision is threefold:
- To provide high-quality education and support for every student to be their best in a positive, respectful and supportive school community.
- Our students will be engaged, resilient and confident.
- Our students will leave Archway as well-rounded young people who are equipped to achieve their ambitions and make positive contributions to society.
Typically our students go on to make significant contributions in the wider world of academic study, scientific and technological research and development, commerce and industry, the arts and sport and to their local communities. The majority of our students continue into further education and many go on to Universities and Colleges. However, no matter what a child’s abilities, each is valued as an individual and encouraged to achieve their best.
Our role is to encourage each and every child to aspire, to achieve and to enjoy their education at Archway School.
Academic achievement, innovation, creativity and care are hallmarks of Archway School. Our students exhibit high standards in their work, behaviour and play. This, combined with a close partnership between school and home, provides the basis of success for all.
